So far in 2010 the sale of game consoles and reduced by 10% in the U.S., the rest of America, Japan and Europe, as the economic crisis affects the market for entertainment and leisure.

While game sales increased by 4% to total $ 466 million, and accessories also rose 3% ($ 115 million), the console tumbled 20% ($ 241 million). In total, the annual sale a 10% decline in the U.S., the first global video game market, ahead of Japan and Europe.

The best-selling console was the Nintendo Wii, followed by the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and Sony Play3. However, it is expected to pick up in sales with releases of the consoles: Xbox 360 Slim, Nintendo 3DS and new PlayStation and Xbox accessories.
